It would be a lie to say photographing the ocean lies within my niche. Time and time again, I choose to venture among the mountainous wilderness over the salty & sandy air that wisps along the New England coastline.
However, something about a June afternoon in Newport, Rhode Island allowed me to experience the ocean from a whole new, beautiful perspective.
It was one of those magical afternoons where plans seemed to effortlessly fall together. Excited as ever for our long-awaited day trip, my friends and I coasted down I-295 with the windows down. Once in Newport, we walked along the famous Cliff Walk and took in the breathtaking Newport mansions built along the rocky coastline. Inspiration seemed effortless as Richard (the dare-devil) made his way down the steep rocks. After some ice cream at Newport Creamery and endless laughs we started the trek home iPhone ready to snap pictures of the lit up Clairborne Pell Bridge. A day well spent.
